SCIENCE COMMUNICATION
- Content curation
- Through my PhD training, I have refined my critical thinking skills and gained facility with translating jargon-heavy science into easy-to-understand information for a curious audience through podcasts commissioned by and published on University websites (http://weill.ucsf.edu/podcasts). See http://www.brcafoundation.org/podcasts or http://www.ctoradio.org for samples of work.
- Leadership
- Experience leading teams to produce high-quality podcasts on a monthly basis featuring curated interviews of leading scientists (ctoradio.org). Other skills include organizing and motivating large groups, as well as training and encouraging individuals to realize their own creative potential.
- Education
- Through the Science Education Partnership, I gained extensive teaching and communication skills. I developed engaging, age-appropriate science lesson plans for grades 2,4, and 7.
